I probably should have clicked the link for more "product information" and then measured my legs. Once the boots arrived, very fast by the way, I tried them on and the basic fit was just fine. But, I was looking for a knee-high boot and these only came up to mid calf. The image was mis-leading. Knowing I would be working in streams and tall wet grass I knew they would not be high enough. I took the boots back and traded them in for a more expensive but taller boot. If you don't need a tall boot this one might work for you.
These boots are the right height for wading through the spring mud and puddles. The fit is perfect with a warm sock or the liners I also ordered. I wear a 6.5 and ordered the 7.

I had purchased a pair of wellies from LL Bean for my mom 25 yrs ago. Then when my daughter wore this old pair during her last visit home, she LOVED them and I knew I had to buy a pair for her as well. A classic that is well made!
I pulled these boots out of storage when I left my job to pursue my college degree. No extra money for new shoes and these were a great surprise and durable for my hikes around campus. They did not deteriorate in storage. They kept my feet dry and warm (though I do not live in a cold climate) all day. The boots were comfortable, surprisingly. They have remained in my shoe collection. I ordered and wear a size 7 and they fit me fine with medium weight socks. I would have preferred not to wear green, but I was happier that my feet were dry.
