Wicked Bad Dog Bed,

"I am a dog lover with 3 pugs that I purchased these beds for. The cover is great and washes very well but the inserts are made of foam and can't be cleaned and hold all the hair and dirt and smell . I have tired to vaccuum and the hair will just not come out and the smell doesn't go a way. I have left them on the porch over night to air out and that doesn't work . I will be returning them and recommend that you do not purchase this item. I find that the premium dog beds or similar are a better and easier to clean. And have had them for 5 years or more and they are great. I love LLBEAN and its products but this is just one I can't recommend ."

Our Dog Adores This Bed,

"My husband and I bought this bed for our 6-year-old Boxer last spring. We had recently bought a new couch that he was not allowed to sleep on, and our bed is not big enough for the two of us... and a 72 pound dog. This bed sits right by the window in our bedroom, and he absolutely adores it. Most of the time, he opts to lie in this bed rather than jump on our bed at night. Our Boxer likes to be curled in and protected, so the back and sides of this bed are perfect for him. He circles around a few times, and snuggles right in. This bed is also super easy to maintain. The cover and separate pillow are machine washable and can then be thrown right in the dryer. Everything goes back together very easily. We would highly recommend this bed!"

"This dog bed was a hit! I have four mini doxies. They all love it. I got the large one. Three of them can fit in it at a time. It's easy to wash! Would highly recommend it!"

"I purchased the small dog bed for our Miniature Schnauzer. She likes to curl when she sleeps so the bed was fine. However, if the dog is any larger or wants to stretch, this bed will not work. The bed is well made and the outside wall covering can be removed for washing. I would have preferred the interior cushion to also have a zipper for removal when washing, but there is none. This bed has the consistent quality that I like about LL Bean products."

"These beds are cozy, nice looking & best of all, you can take out the inner pad & throw it in the washer/dryer. My cat spends so much time in hers, I have to occasionally give her a poke to make sure she's okay! The dogs curl up together to the point you can't tell who's who."

"Buy this bed for the dog. My friend's dog has been conditioned to sleep in arm chairs, beds and couches. The spoiled rotten pooch just got even more spoiled after I read the other reviews and purchased this bed for her. Now as soon as she comes to visit she heads straight for it and plunks down without stirring at all. Amazing! He's impressed too. She's a 40 pound terrier and the Large fits fine. Anything smaller would be too cramped. The high sides and cozy bottom make the dog feel nestled and safe. It's tempting to crawl in there myself."

"I just recieved this bed today and it seems to be well made. My 8lb maltese took to it right away however I ordered the small and he fits but just barely. He likes to stretch out when he lays down and his body covers from side to side when laying in it. I just reordered the large size and will probaly send the small back. I really thought the small would be big enough with his weight. I would suggest you consider how your dog sleeps before ordering. If he was a curler he would have plenty of room but all stretched out its a close fit. It is a very nice bed with lots of stuffing and the quality I expect from llbean."

"I ordered this bed for my Shiba Inu and she loves it. I have 2 Shiba Inu's and a Siberian Husky. My second Shiba loves the bed also, so I ordered another one for her. One weighs 17 lbs. and the other weighs 25 lbs. I took the advice of another person and ordered the size large and its perfect. It's a little too small for my Siberian Husky so I won't be getting her one. It's made very well and its very attractive. I'm so glad I ordered them. L.L. Bean has the best quality products."

"I debated about the size, but went with a small and our Jack Russell mix fits in with room to spare. She hopped in, curled up, and since then, she has been in it whenever we're downstairs. It's quite attractive too, so I'm fine having it in the living room. Now I need one for the upstairs!"

"We've had this bed for about 4 months, and our schnauzer/terrier/beagle mix treats it like a toy when he's not sleeping in it. He will take the cushion out, throw both around the room chewing at them the entire time and .... it's indestructible! Not a hole to be found! One word of advice tho, he's 25lbs and the small was waaaay too small for him. He's in the large bed. So it's really only apropriate for small to medium dogs. But what a great bed! We will be getting another for our new dog!"

"My 96 lb 4 year old chocolate lab LOVES this bed. I gated him off from my living room to keep him off the coutch and chair (which he thought was HIS bed) and was worried he would not have a soft place to lay his head. I had a gift certificate to LL and thought "why not give it a try..." Well, it has been the BEST investment. He fits in it great and is always sleeping in it. Highly recommend the bed."

"My Coton puppy is 4 pounds and LOVES this bed. She thrashes about in it, jumps back and forth over the sides, snuggles on her back, and does summersaults in it. Oh, yes - she sleeps in it, too. (It's her favorite spot.) The small bed will easily be big enough for her when she is full grown at 10 pounds. The raised sides give her that "den" feeling and the sturdy construction makes it puppy-proof!"

"Our lab loved his new bed instantly! I was worried it wouldn't be big enough, since he is about 105 lbs, but it is more than adequate in size. He loves the fact that it has arms and back (similar to a sofa) and the nubby cushion is comfy for him, while the foam insert underneath provides support. It does show his hair (we ordered brown but he is a yellow lab), so wish it came in a color similar to his hair, but overall, he loves it and so do we!"
