We raise Miniature Schnauzers and I just ordered two more of these wonderful beds, our schnauzers just love them. One of my girls used to be a total lap dog, but since we got the beds, she prefers to be snuggled in her bed. All of our dogs love the beds. The size is just right for them to curl up in and it certainly keeps them warm. They are a not only a hit with our dogs but my husband and I are big fans on how they look in the house. We have two indoor dogs, one lab and one miniature rat terrier. We ordered them both beds from L.L. Bean that were different styles/sizes . We purchased this particular bed for the rat terrier because she is smaller and cold natured. We bought a much larger bed for the lab thinking this one would not be comfortable for her. Apparently we thought wrong. Our lab and rat terrier both love this bed, and we are constantly having to make the lab get into her bed so that she is not bulging out the sides of this one. We have decided to go ahead and order the larger size bed in this style for our lab. Apparently, this bed is very warm and cozy! Also, I like the fact that you can wash the cushioned insert and the cover of the actual bed itself.
We recently bought this bed (size lg) for our miniature Schnauzer. She loved it right away, snuggling up in a ball against the side walls. She also likes to nose the pad up and sometimes hide a toy under it. We haven't had it long enough to know how well it will hold up, but right now we consider it a smart purchase.
I purchased this dog bed for my little 14 lb. Chihuahua Kandie. Her little paws are always cold. Since she's been enjoying her new bed, her paws are no longer cold. I purchased the smaller size and she has plently of room to move about.
