Saved my relationship!
PostedDecember 16, 2008
My little terrier is used to cuddling next to me in bed, but at my boyfriend's, she isn't allowed on the bed with us. I tried several different dog beds for her, but she kept waking me up whining and crying. We were all miserable, until I got this bed. It's perfect! It's so cozy. She curls up and it snuggles and supports her just right. She even goes into it during the day for naps. I'm thrilled! She's 20 pounds and the small one fits her quite snugly, but that's just right.

The perfect dog bed!
PostedDecember 13, 2008
We just received this bed, bought for our french-bulldog Duncan. He is actually on the big size for a Frenchie, (40 lbs!), but he fits well in the 27" "large" size. He loves, loves this bed! He climbed into it the moment we took it out of the box, deeply sniffing into all the corners, while furiously wagging his tail. Then he did his special "on his back, belly up" rub inside it, before curling up and going right to sleep (where he is now, snoring away). The bed seems well-made and sturdy enough to hold up to him dragging it to another room (which has done-in many of his previous beds).
One concern was that while the outer shell has a zipper to remove the cover for washing, the inner pillow is zipper-less. We checked with LL Bean, however, and you can wash the whole inner pillow as well, with the same care instructions (cold water wash only, tumble dry on low).
Thank you LL Bean for the perfect bulldog bed!

The actually fight over this bed!
PostedDecember 12, 2008
I have a 75 lb, 10 year old boxer and a 50 lb mutt and they fight over this bed. It is technically too small for either of them, but they love it. The cushion and sides make my boxer curl up and start snoring away, I actually have to move it from room to room for him because he doesn't use his other beds anymore. He actually whined when his "brother" decided to use it.

Wicked Good Dog Bed Problems
PostedDecember 12, 2008
A dog bed arrived from a second party supplier (not LL Bean) after being on back order for weeks. It's more like a generic substitute than the LL Bean Quality we expected. We ordered the large 27" bed, but the largest dimension we can measure is 24 1/2" wide. Other dimensions don't match what was published in the description and there is no LL Bean stiching as shown. LL Bean customer service is helping to resolve ... let's see what happens.
