We ordered this bed and it was backordered. After waiting 3 months for it to come in we were very disappointed and sent it right back! The length was 5 inches shorter and the width was 2 inches shorter than in the product description on the web and in the catalog.
My pbgv loved his bed. He got it in October. He napped in the office every morning in the sun, with his head on the edge. Or he lay on his back, and rolled around in it, moaning happily. It was so comfy and nice.
But he loves to rip soft things up. The bed lasted about a month. He broke the zipper, removed the foam insert and ripped it into pieces. His daddy says he can't have any more beds until he can be a better boy.
Jake my Bichon is well taken care of, but at 2 had never had his own bed. Pillows, yes. Bed, no. Did he understand?
OH YES! I unwrapped this while he watched, set it down and said "what do you think, Jake?" He circled it, sniffing with growing excitement, then jumped in and circled, getting the feel of it.
That was it. He and the bed are bonded, and he doesn't want to sleep anywhere else (except at night on my bed.) I was shocked - the folks that designed these REALLY know what dogs like. It was obvious that he was instantly IN LOVE!
Unsurpassed quality. Have spent alot of time/effort looking for a decent dog bed ... this bed is great. Looks great, made very well. I purchased the large bed for my two yorkies to share ... perfect size for them ... with room to spare. I'm ordering a second bed for the family room. If your dogs are nesters, curl up, snugglers .... this is the style bed that you should be. You won't be sorry.
