I got this bed for my sister's dog; however, my Papillon saw it first, and claimed it. He loves it! He doesn't take up much space and uses that to his advantage by putting all his toys in the bed with him. Needless to say, he's not giving it up!
While this bed seems to be very comfortable, it really is not made for dogs over 100 pounds. I also wish they had a larger size. Our Rottweiler weighs in at 165 (an NO, he is not obese) and he just didn't fit on here without parts of him hanging off. He is not one to curl up. My cousin had the same problem with her English Mastiff. We have the XL rectangluar bed with the blue plaid/denim cover and it works fairly well, but it could even be bigger.
I ordered two of these bed after reading the reviews, one big and one small. The quality and plushness is excellent but the size of the large bed will "no way" fit my 85# lab. A third of his body hangs over the edges. I think some of the reviews on this page that say their large dogs fit great in this bed are referring to the wicked good dog couch or foam lounge, not the oval style. I would not order the large bed for any dog over 65#. I am returning the large one.
