The small bed has been wonderful for my 14 year old cat who has a bit of arthritis. She curls herself into it and it is obvious that she is very comfortable. We call it the "sleep magnet."
I just purchased this dog bed for my 65 pound Yellow Lab and she LOVES IT!! It replaced an older, rectangular LL Bean dog bed that was just wearing down. She has room to sprawl out, curl up and even props her head up on the bolsters like a pillow. She is snoring as I type! A GREAT dog bed!
Let me start off by saying that I don't usually write reviews.....but am thankful others do. I foster dogs for a local canine rescue group so I go through quite a few dog beds. I'm also a "foster failure" and have adopted 4 of my fosters. I have dog beds all around the house as my 2 Jack Russell mixes follow me EVERYWHERE.....but the bed that EVERYONE loves best is the LL Bean bed.
I read a review from one shopper that said her dog - who didn't sleep in dog beds loved this one. My largest (30 pounds) will not use a doggie bed, so I purchased the smaller bed. Well, low and behold, she LOVES the bed and sleeps in it even though she has to curl up in a tight ball to do so. All the dogs jockey for position for this bed, and when a smaller one is in it, it is not unusual for a second one to squish in too.
I'm finally breaking down and buying another one of these fantastic beds. But, like a previous reviewer, I wish there was a MEDIUM sized bed available. I'll keep my fingers crossed that LL Bean listens to customers and that a medium bed willl be available next time around.
I have a 5 year old, 105 lb Chocolate Lab and was concerned he wouldn't fit on this bed. After reading a few of the reviews I decided to take a chance and am so glad I did. As soon as we took it out of the box he pawed it a few times and curled up to go to sleep. He absolutely loves it! The head support it provides for him is fantastic. I highly recommend this product - neither of us could be happier!
