I bought three of these shirts and they are so comfortable in hot, humid Alabama, I am buying two more. They are attractive, and contrary to at least one reviewer's opinion, are not of low quality appearance. Methinks that he was expecting perhaps a different product. My son is visiting from LA and intends to buy one or two when he gets home. Very satisfied. But then, I have been shopping with LLBean for almost 40 years and have never had any trouble with quality or returning items for any reason when necessary. Keep up the good work! I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. Indeed, I have already recommended the shirts to my son.
In my earlier review, I mistakenly stated that I would need to pay for return shipping to exchange a defective shirt. Well, I was wrong. I contacted Bean through web chat..and Melissa ordered me a new shirt..the package will include paperwork so I can return defective shirt for free ! Bean stands by their merchandise. I ordered two of these shirts for my spouse. A yellow and the light blue..appears to be a great summer shirt. The first time he wore the blue, it ripped ! No recall of catching it on something. I will be sending this back and do want to exchange for another shirt. The yellow shirt has worn well to date.
What really bothers me is in order to return a defective item, I am charged $6.50 for the privilege !! I do not have the Bean credit card...seems to me a customer should not be charged to exchange a defective item. I hope Bean will reconsider this policy.
