Very good,
January 15, 2009
By
LLBEANTHERE66from Limerick, PA
"I ordered six candles and I love them. They lock into the window so my cats can't knock them down on the floor and leave a burn mark on the carpet. Also, they use LED bulbs making them very inexpensive to burn. I have the ones upstairs on a timer so they go off at bedtime, but the ones downstairs are on until the sun comes up. My only problem is that a couple of them flicker. I think the sensor is a bit more sensitive in them. It's not terrible so I didn't return them."

Light sensitive window candles,
January 14, 2009
By
JERRYK33from Putnam County NY
"For years we put candles in the windows of our circa 1820 house during the Xmas season. Each morning we would have to go around and unplug the lights. The light sensitive candles we purchased have now taken away that chore. We now will have the candles in the window year round."

Window Candles,
January 14, 2009
By
pattihfrom Quakertown, PA
"The candles look fine in the windows but the way they are made made them difficult to use with my style of windows - I had to bend them a bit to keep them straight. And I realized after buying them that come summer I'll have to replace them because I cannot open the windows with them there (my mistake)."

Great solution for windows with no sill,
January 10, 2009
By
Moneygirlfrom Bloomsburg, PA
"I purchased these to replace electric candles that I had to use plastic suction cup holders AND plastic shipping tape to hold them in place on the window because our house has no windowsills to speak of. The candles fit pefectly under my window.
I did not really want photoelectric candles, but I figured out where the sensor was and put black electric tape over it then first aid adhesive tape over the black so it would still look white. If you look closely at the candles, it is visible but who really looks that closely?"

Would recommend!,
December 28, 2008
By
vetsalesfrom Midwest
"I love these candles. They fit my windows perfectly. I bought the cordless, battery-operated models and they are still going strong after a week. I bought another set of battery operated candles from a department store and they didn't last 24 hours on one set of batteries. I'm very pleased and have recommended them to my mother, who has electric candles in her windows year 'round."

long battery life, worth it!,

"I was apprehensive about buying battery operated window candles, but didn't want the ugly cord the electric come with. I started using these candles the first of december with used batteries and still after a month haven't had to change the batteries."

Beaner,
December 27, 2008
By
Designerwannabefrom New Gloucester ME
"I love not having to look at the cords hanging down below my windows! I think that the picture of the cordless makes it very clear that these have an amber glow. The electric version specifically states that it has an incandescent bulb, so that means that it will have a "whiter" glow. There is an initial cost to supply them with batteries, but the batteries will last for 1500 hours of use. I would definately recommend these."

Nice, but hard to fit in window at times,
December 27, 2008
By
BettyByTheHarborfrom Boston, MA
"I almost returned these but.. found I could "bend" them into fitting the windows, though I was a bit concerned how that was going to work in the long run. Well, it worked. Some of them (I bought six) I have to manually turn off because they seem to want to stay on after daylight starts, even though the one in the next window shut off on it's own. That's a small price to pay though, because I do like them a lot. I may actually buy a few more next year."

"Pewter is very nice looking. I got the electric ones since I have outlets just below the windows. Once you figure out how to bend them a bit, it's a piece of cake. Work as described, on at dark off at dawn. Love them!"

Didn't like the orange glow...,
December 19, 2008
By
BethMcfrom Boston, MA
"The product itself is great. They seem to be well made and they fit in my windows with no problem at all. My issue is that I assumed that they gave a "white light." I'm not a fan of the natural yellow/orange window candles, as I prefer the bright white look instead. These candles scream orange. I returned them yesterday and am in search of a reasonably priced, cordless candle with a white glow."

Cordless LED Window Candles,
December 18, 2008
By
ConstantShopperfrom Marion, MA
"I bought ten of these to try them out, feeling cautious because of some of the early reviews about the brackets not working with some windows. I just ordered ten more:
We have new windows and because of the way the windows are sealed now, the brackets don't fit (notice in the photo that the candle is in a really old window). That's fine since the candles look nice and work great without the metal part - just slip the white "candle" out of the holder and the candle sits up nicely by itself on even a narrow windowsill. A bonus is that the window shade now pulls down to rest evenly on the sill.
I've also put the "candle" in a regular candle holder in places where I wouldn't like to leave a real candle burning. Handy!"

Pewter Cordless Window Candles,
December 17, 2008
By
YankeeinPennafrom Murrysville, PA
"These cordless light-sensitive window candles are great -- easy to put together, no going from window to window to turn on/off in the evening -- nice burnished pewter finish. Yes, there is a battery cost but rechargeable batteries are the way to go. They also double as a soft night light in the bedroom but easy to turn off -- just turn counterclockwise -- if you don't like the light."

Made a House a "Home",
December 15, 2008
By
MLakefrom Belgrade, ME
"These candles are beautiful, energy efficient, and easy to install. I purchased these as a gift for my parent's home and they are beautiful! Most importantly, they are very easy to use...just install batteries, place in window...and you're all set. The photo sensors work very well and make this product easy to use and maintain. We are very pleased."

finally got the look I wanted!,
December 15, 2008
By
skyhawkfrom Vandergrift PA
"I have always admired people's houses with candles in the windows, so after trying several dollar store brands and cheap knock offs, only to realize I wasted my money, I was hesitant to try these battery operated candle lights. My investment finally paid off! I now have completed the look I have always wanted. PROS: 1. Battery operated, no mess of wires, no extension cords. 2. If they dont fit in your shutdown windows, they can be bent to adapt in many different style windows, HOWEVER, will not fit in some, even if you bend them but BE CREATIVE (hint: duct tape em down or use double sided tape). I have Anderson windows that crank out sideways and some that crank out open from the top. There is a slight marginal opening where my marble window sill meets the crank. I stuck the brass tab under that opening and TA DA... PERFECTION! 3. They are made much better than any dollar store brand I have bought. 4. The battery operated candles give an orange glow, like a real fire. If you like the white light glow, you may want to consider the electric candle. From the picture, it looks as if there is a difference. 5. So simple to put together. The instructions very easy to understand. Really its a no-brainer. 6. Comes in a nice sturdy cardboard storage box if you decide they are seasonal, makes for easy put away.
CONS 1. They are battery operated. Depending on how many windows are in your house and how many candles you have in them, battery costs could add up. (hint: rechargeable batteries) 2. If you have pull up windows, you will have to take these out to open the window or if you plan on making them a permanant fixture, nail or tape them down."
