Bought this for our grandson, and it is wonderful. Perfect gift for him as his Dada is a firefighter. Very well made, and durable. He just loves it and we do too. There are many years of joy in this toy!
I was visiting store in freeport, maine when I found the beautiful little red fire engine, perfect for my grandson and my sister's grandson. It was shipped to my home. What a perfect gift for the little guys!
What a lovely 1st Birthday gift for our Grandson! The age listed on the box is 1 to 4 years, and that is perfect. He is just starting to walk, so he is having more fun with the detachable handle than anyone. He pushes it all around the house to help himself walk at this time; it is so cute. It is wonderful quality (as everything we order from L.L.Bean). It does have a strong odor when it 1st comes out of the box, as one other customer noted; however that does dissipate quickly, just build it before you bring it to the party! I know James will have it a long time – We have a picture of Granddaddy with his Radio Flyer Fire Engine from about 1950!
Easily put together with a phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. Nice sturdy metal construction. Turning is not so smooth for the little drivers.
