so far i am happy w/ my feather bed. i read the customer reviews and did find that the feathers do stick out a little. to solve the possibility of any problem, i put the feather bed under the mattress cover.
I got this a little less then a year ago and at first i loved it but it seems like the more i sleep on it the more the feathers are poking up through the protective cover and my sheets and stabbing me in the night so i would say yes its comfortable but not impressed about the feathers poking through
Purchased for my son... it's a little bit of luxury for his college dorm room (cardboard-like) mattress. He loves it! It keeps him cool when it's hot out & warm when it's cold.
