This is just an incredible shirt. I already ordered a second in the henley style. I love this shirt. I wear it as a mid-layer on my way to the gym or to shovel snow, and I wear it as a sweatshirt around my house. It is very comfortable, fits very well, and is just the right weight without being bulky.
I purchased my third River Drivers Shirt in blue. The garment is great in the cold weather. You can wear it as a sweatshirt or you can layer it for extra warmth. This item comes recommended.
This is a comfortable shirt and just right for wearing around the house on cold winter days. I would suggest however that you order it a size larger as it shrank a size after washing. I had hoped to wear it over a long sleeve shirt but that would have required ordering it two sizes larger. I like the way it fits close around the neck. I wear mine with a t-shirt underneath but it's soft enough to wear without anything. I would still order it a size larger.
Really happy with this purchase! Surprisingly warm, can be worn all alone since it is as warm as a sweatshirt but can also be layered for extra warmth without being too bulky. The collared and sleeve trim is subtle but allow this to be worn for an impressive casual look. Just got this but looks to be well made and hope to enjoy this for a long time, nice work LL Bean.
