My husband purchased one of these shirts to try out. He fell in love. The shirt is a nice weight and very good quality. We went back and purchased another. My only suggestion is to please carry more, they sell out quick. Buy this shirt you will not regret.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, the best you'll find
The River Driver's shirts (all variations) are the best men's non-outerwear clothing item (non-shoes) offered by LL Bean. They are very warm and wind-breaking, but not suffocating; very comfortable and lightweight; and very durable. The sizes are true, and the shirts don't shrink with repeated washings.

I have six of these shirts and I'll be honest about the whole process. These shirts are fantastically popular and for good reason. They are warm, they hold their shape, They are cut generously enough so you can wear them as an outer layer. And I highly recommend them. But, like I said, let's be honest. There is only one problem and that is because they are so popular. I ordered them in December and January (at different times) and two arrived in a normal time frame. However, because they sell out so quickly the other four had to be back-ordered. The estimated delivery dates kept pushing out until at one point I though I wasn't going to see them until March. They did however start arriving in late January and February. My friends who are also LL Bean customers say that when you order Winter wear you are really ordering for next year. In a sense they are right. These shirts are really worth waiting for. I would give them at least five stars.
