Two-Layer River Driver's Shirt, Long-Sleeve Crewne

ProsComfortable
This is a comfortable, everyday shirt I enjoy wearing with jeans. Its light weight goes well with a tee shirt and or a shirt; however, after only a couple of washings, I've noticed the neck tending to sag a bit.
I bought my husband two of the long-sleeve, two-layer, crewneck River Driver's shirts last year for Christmas. He loves them because they are warmer than his long sleeve LL Bean jerseys, but not as warm as a sweatshirt, so he is comfortable wearing them around the house. I recently got him another one with my LL Bean reward certificates. He has them on both his Christmas and Birthday lists this year. They are of excellent quality and wash really well. They do not shrink and are true to size. The only complaint at all he has is that the sleeves are a little long, however that doesn't stop him from wanting more. They layer well when he is out snow blowing here in Massachusetts, thus cutting down on the bulk under his jacket. My nephew is a construction worker and he swears by these as well for the same reasons my husband does. He has a drawer full of the Henley style. We all think that this is one of the best items LL BEan offers. You won't be sorry if you decide to purchase one.
These are my husband's new favorite. With the bit of wool they are warm and he even pushes the limit of wearing them more than once without the same stinky effect a 100% cotton shirt would have. Yet, they are not itchy. The arms are a little on the long side, which is perfect for him. Quality shirt that withstands his rough work wear.
