My 7 year old son thinks the backpack is really cool & the lights on the wheels are really bright. He is a rising 3rd grader & the pack is the perfect size. The pack is not as heavy as other rolling backpacks he has had in the past.
Have purchased 2 of these: one for each boy. The oldest one is going on its 4th year of school and still looks great (light blue with panda). They ride the bus a lot so they get dragged up and down the bus stairs daily.
Everyone loves the light up wheels. The backpack itself still looks great and all the zippers work perfectly.
Make sure you ALWAYS tuck in the straps before wheeling it or you will ruin them. You may also need to wrap the bottom part of the straps around a few times to keep them from hanging out and dragging on the ground.
They are heavier than average backpacks and also do not smush down all the way: they have a plastic board built in the sides. This can make it a little tough to share a cubby, but we did it this entire year in Kindergarten.
Both kids love their backpacks. My oldest is hoping the light-up wheels will be added to the 10+ yr old backpacks, so he can still get light-up wheels next year on a bigger backpack.
The bag showed up as promised. Looks good and seems well built with good organization and ergonomics. My 6 Year old son likes it. It is a tad bigger than I had expected - may be that is a plus.
