I purchased this item for my almost 3 year old granddaughter. Her comment says it all..."Nana, this is spectacular!!" I am grateful the the L.L. Bean telephone associate who answered all of my questions regarding this item, prior to purchase. Her input was very influential in my decision to buy this item.
Our first school year back pack, which was a non-bean backpack, did not even make it through the first week of school, the handle broke and the wheels made so much noise I hated to roll it down the street. I purchased the critter backpack for my son as a sturdy back up and I must say that it is worth every penny and it holds quite a bit. My only concern is that it is a bit heavy for him to carry up three flights of steps when the backpack is loaded with books. The best feature of all is the wheels that light up and the fact that they make no noise when we roll down the street. Thanks LLBean this was a great purchase for my family!!!
My almost 8 year old son has this backpack and loves it. It's pretty roomy and quite durable. His favorite feature is the light-up wheels. He also thinks the embroidered "critter" is pretty cool.
It holds up well and looks great no matter what my active little boy doles out. That is a definite plus for me!
I buy all my kids backpacks at LL Bean because their customer service is so wonderful. They never disappoint me. I'm willing to spend a little more for a product with the LL Bean name because I know they stand behind it.
This is the best backpack that I've ever purchased. While I had reservations about the lights in the wheels; actually the lights were the selling point for my fifth grader. She loves the backpack. It holds all of her books and the outside pockets are great for the water bottle and other extras! Other Moms have asked me where I purchased it. Excellent quality! Also, the handle is very solid and sturdy.
