I bought this for my daughter and we've only had it for a couple of weeks. I'd really like to see how long it lasts but the back of the backpack gives me confidence that it's pretty durable. She loves it and the added bonus is that the wheels light up when they roll. The handle length is good for my 6 year old and looks like she can grow with it for a couple of years. So far, we have no complaints. The quality is great and it has plenty of room inside for a few books, a small lunch box and sweater. I'm giving it 4 stars because the zipper for the biggest pocket took a little wiggling to zip but I noticed it's easier to zip the pack when it's full.
I was nervous about getting this backpack for my 3 (almost 4) year old. After reading reviews and a few measurements I decided to get it. I was so glad I did! She wheeled it all through the airports by herself (the added bounus was we never had to carry her) and she was happy to be responsible for her own carry on items.
This is my 1st LL Bean book bag purchase. I bought two rolling book bags for my boy/girl twins that are in 4th grade. We had been going through 2 book bags per school year because they kept tearing up. I also wanted to purchase a rolling book bag because their book bag was so heavy. After friends were telling me how durable LL Bean bags were, I checked out the website to order one. My kids picked this one because they REALLY LOVED the flashing wheels! We ordered the butterfly & shark. We've had them for 2 weeks and my kids LOVE them! I have to say the flashing wheels is the main attraction for them, & now two of their friends are ordering one to have flashing wheels also! I was worried that the handle might be too short for them from reading other reviews. My tallest child is 4', 6" and the handle is NOT too short for him to pull. I am hoping these book bags will last through the end of next school year. If it does, our next bag will definitely be a LL Bean bag!
This bag is so cute and well made. I had it monogrammed and it looks super. I'm sure my grandson will love it. I got the royal blue one and the trim and the lizard are done in bright green. It really looks great. I'm giving it as a gift and I'm very happy with it.
