This lunchbox is roomy and has nice compartments that make it easy to fit a lot. For school It is almost too big, in that it takes up a bit of space in the backpack, but it does squish down a bit while stil, protecting the contents.
This is my second Critter Lunch Box. The first started smelling pretty nasty after a couple of years when my son would forget to clean it out. Otherwise, it would have lasted forever.
This one, the zipper broke. LLBean replaced it with a new one immediately and we are back in action. I give it five stars because I LOVE this lunch box for the size, the ease of use and the durability. I think the zipper breaking was just a fluke.
I bought this very lunch box (Giant Panda) a few years ago and have used it countless times. I just recently ended up tossing it because something spilled inside and it was getting so worn out that I couldn't salvage it. However, it's very well made, doesn't tear and holds a lot for a lunch bag. I would give it low marks in the leak department because I have had several instances where I've had to scrub it down after a spill. I would recommend wrapping anything that could spill in a plastic bag. Other than that, the bag is easy to clean and holds up well. I'm actually thinking about buying a brand new one. And by the way, I'm in my 40's and couldn't resist the adorable panda. Must have been a coincidence that the panda lunch box only comes in my favorite color!
