This is the 2nd Critter Lunch Box I have purchased from LL Bean. My 12 year old daughter takes her lunch to school every day and just loves her lunch box. The size is adequate and the lining is made for easy clean-up. She carried her first lunch box for 2 years before wanting another critter and color. We just love this product!
I bought this item for my daughter when she entered kindergarten. By the end of the school year the inside liner was tearing and the liner edge around the zipper was tearing, making it difficult to open and close at times. I found the seams on the inside liner to be difficult to clean when yogurt or something messy spilled inside, and so it didn't take long before the lunchbox was smelly and didn't seem as sanitary as it could be on the inside. If inner seams were made differently it would be helpful. I was hoping the box would make it through at least first grade, but I'm ready to find a replacement. I would have expected something more durable.
I bought this Critter Lunch box for my Granddaughter..Loved it so much I bought another one after Christmas to put away for another Granddaughter. Just the right size and I loved the color choices..
I could see other uses for this lunch box when I ordered it for my little nephew. When not being used to carry lunches, little toys can be put in it for short trips. The inside compartment secures small items. It is well made and the little owl adds a nice touch.
