Every school year I buy my step sons these lunch boxes. They love them. With the growing they do it is interesting to see which animals they choose. They last all year and then some. Very sturdy for tough boys. Enough room for lunch, snacks, drinks and Lego men.
I was disappointed in this lunch box. It is a very large size, but there is no elastic strap to hold the drink in place. There is a pocket with velcro, but I don't think it would be good for a drink. I was concerned that the drink would squish the other lunch items, so I returned it.
Just got the Critter Pack & lunch box set for school this year and both items seem really durable and the kids love them already. I wish, however, that the backback had an attachment for the lunch box. Most other designs have a clip designed specifically for attaching a lunchbox. Seems like this would have been a good idea here too. This lunchbox will have to be carried separatey by hand which may result in being left behind. It does fit inside the pack - perhaps that is how I will handle it.
I just purchased this for my son for school. This is a very large lunch box for a six year old but i know he will grow into it and it will last for quite a few years to come. I just wish it could hook up with the critter backpack. I think it will be too big to store in his backpack and he will have to carry it and i'm afraid he will lose it during the year.
