I ran this lunchbox side by side all school year to another one purchased from another online company to see who would come out on top -- and this is the winner! I will be replacing my daughters this year with a Critter lunch kit, as my son's definitely outlasted the other. It compared better in wear (no rips), washability (just throw it in the washer and dry on low), not smelly (nothing worse), and being soft sided is easier to fit more containers in, as we try to pack garbageless lunches. Overall is excellent value for money - before I had spent WAY more replacing lunch kits every few months.
This is my third lunchbox that I have bought for my boys. The only reason I am buying another one is to match the new backpack we are buying (my oldest son needs to move to a rolling backpack.)
The boys have used them for 3 years. The best part is they can be put in the washing machine to be cleaned. We just air dry them. They don't fade and the lining is still prestine.
Large sized with a mesh inside pocket that holds an ice pack nicely. The outside, non-mesh pocket zippers securely. The monogram was a great addition for gifting.
This is our second lunch box purchased. The first is still in excellent shape and being used by our older child. The box has a generous space to fit 2 plastic sandwich containers inside, along with 2 small juice boxes and 2 banannas (we tried traveling light one day, and it worked). Plus, there's a mesh compartment for an ice pack inside the main box, and a zippered pocket on the outside flap. This lunch box holds up well, cleans well, and is definitely made as a high quality product. The interior is heavy plastic/vinyl that wipes clean, and there's a neat label inside to write child's name and address for that lost-and-found box at school. I tried removing the tag by pulling on it, and it will only be removed if cut out. This is an awesome product!
