After only a few weeks of use every towel began to fade and several had loose threads. This has not happened with any other towels we own.
Although the label warns against contact with Benzoyl Peroxide there are obviously other things that cause these towels to discolor. This should be noted online.
I ordered a set of washclothes just to see how I liked Bean towels and liked the way they looked and felt. They are heavy but that would have been ok. The first time we used them the threads seperated along the decorative part and left a hole about 1 to 2 inches long. Was totally disappointed so will not order the rest of towel set.
I had been eyeing this whole striped towel, shower curtain and rug line for years in the L.L. Bean catalog. I kept coming back to the soothing stripes over and over again. So when my husband built a new bathroom in our house, I knew I had to have these towels and the shower curtain. I painted the walls a nice coral color and the stripes look very earthy and relaxing next to it. I also found a blue trash can and toothbrush holder and it looks so good together!! There are so many colors you can use, everything would look good with these towels. LOVE IT!!! The towels are so thick and soft!! My husband actually said the bath towels are too big!! I have laundered the towels many times and they still look new except for a snag here and there. Definitely worth the money and I plan on buying more if they ever go on sale.
