I bought these slippers last year, and couldn't be happier with my choice. They are perfectly warm without being overly hot. The construction is great and I know I'll have them a very long time! Way to go LLBean!!!
I have had these slippers for about 9 months and wear them everyday. I have very wide feet (bunions), but found they fit well and formed to my feet after I broke them in.
I was looking for something that wasn't too warm on my feet and thought the leather lining would be better than a product with shearling or fleece lining. My feet still get quite warm in them to the point where I need to take them off.
At about month 5 I started getting a hole in the sole of one of the shoes. Now I have 1 hole on the left slipper and 3 on the right. I thought this product would be very durable given the bison leather (supposed to be very tough) and last me for years, but the soles just do not hold up! I was very disappointed! The rest of the leather looks like it just came out of the box. I have tile, carpet and hardwood floors in my house and sometimes wear them on to the deck. Maybe if you were using them strictly on linoleum and/or carpet, they would hold up better.
Outside of eating bison these are the next best thing! Superbly sewn, excellent in comfort and The Best appearance of anything. We like them so much ordering enough for our guests. Have ordered these for years as gifts because they stand time with wear and keep that handsome, elegant, expensive looking appearance with a feel that is consistently comfortable. Tad large w/out shearling but that gives more room to breath or wear socks! Or if bold enough, wash them! (yes you can, just air dry and oil)(although we do this to much older slippers). We keep the unlined for summer, the shearling lined for winter we like them so much! These are not meant to be uggs or temporaries. They are classy long term friends well worth what you spend!
