The background on this quilt is a light blue, not white. I didn't see that in print and I don't remember if anyone else has mentioned that but when it arrived, I was surprised. The light blue worked just fine for my room so it wasn't a deal breaker but for someone else it might not work. It just wasn't clear to me prior to purchase. The quilt itself is lovely and I am so happy to have been able to find it on sale. I did buy the king for my queen size bed after reading the other reviews and I'm pleased I did. I expect this will last for years.
I bought the King Size for our Queen bed due to some of the reviews about length. It is very large for the Queen bed but I plan to use it as a bedspread type covering and we do hope to get a King bed in the next year or two. I was concerned about the blue background as I am not a "blue"person, but the colorful stars supply more than enough choices for accessorizing and it really brightens the room. I plan on purchasing the coordinating blue stripe bed skirt as it would seem to really complement the fabric. Quality is superior with just a perfect weight feel!
I bought the Blue Star quilt, taking the advice of past reviews to get the King instead of the Queen. I am thrilled with the quality, weight, and beauty of this fine quilt. I also decided to layer this quilt with Bean's cotton comforter in Blue Flag - also King size. It looks great together. Definitely get the larger size. Worth the extra cost, too.
I bought the Flying Geese quilt for my Qu Bed, but was thankful I ordered it in King. It gives room for shrinkage and looks great with the ticking stripe bedshirt. We've had so many complements on it since we put it in our new home. It looks so spectacular in our blue master bedroom. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased and he's hard to please. We both love the look. The colors are wonderful and give you a wide range of choices to use as room color and accents. I must say that it does look great in Behr (just lighter than the cornflower blue-striking!) It gives that crisp, yet warm feeling. We bought the accessories and I don't think you could possibly go wrong with this pattern and quilt quality. LL BEAN, please don't discontinue it. It's unbelievably great. I talked online to an LLBean rep and she was so very helpful and checked the exact colors for me before purchase. What service! Thank you, LLBean for having great reps that go above and beyond to check things out for customers before purchases. I was not disappointed and knew exactly what I was getting. I LOVE IT!
