I have had this quilt for two months now and I still love it. It washed beautifully, I even snuck it in the dryer for a bit. The color blue is striking and yet serene. The colors of the stars are saturated, but not overly bright. It brought life to my bedroom, which was formally all white and soft browns. It is cheerful, but not loud. Heavy weight for a quilt, not thin and flimsy. I collect quilts and have for over 20 years, and this rates at the top.
The quilt is perfect for my periwinkle and white guest room. The pattern and quality are exceptional. I am watching for new Bean quilts to become available so that I may buy others. (Please offer more, Mr. Bean!) I am highly selective about what I buy for my home and return many unsatisfactory items. This quilt is a real keeper. Thank you, L.L. Bean.
It's gorgeous! It is much more substantial that I thought it would be, but not too heavy. The colors are beautiful. We had chosen a color for our bedroom but changed it to match one of the colors in the quilt. It may not have been made by my grandmother, but I am proud to show it off.
I'd been eyeing this quilt for quite a while before I took the plunge and purchased it for my son's room. It was everything I'd hoped for. It's made from high-quality cotton, very tightly and evenly quilted (machine), and it has some heft to it. I recommend these quilts highly.
