Don't laugh, but I admired this quilt for probably five years before I bought it! When we purchased our first new bed, I finally ordered it! I am so pleased with the quilt. The sizing is generous--we can even fold it over at the top to show the blue and white stipes. The colors are so happy looking--they really cheer up the room. The weight seems just right, too, even as we go into the summer months. I cannot say enough good things about this item! I'm so glad that I didn't miss out on purchasing it.
Flying geese quilt brings a room to life with it's beautiful colors and bright white background. Adds color and class. Reverses to blue and white squiggly strips. Not to heavy seems just the right weight to use in summertime with the air conditioner on or on those chilly spring and fall evenings. Personally I bought it to use as a beadspread over a down comforter and it looks awesome.
We got this quilt after a recent move down south where we won't be needing our thick extra warm down comforter anymore. It is a beautiful pattern and it looks great in our bedroom. The quilt itself is nice and sturdy with a good thickness. It is a bit long, but maybe I have it the wrong way. Very pleased overall.
I was kind of hesitant to purchase this because the colors looked a little too bright on the website. I was so pleasantly surprised to find the colors more muted and warm and cozy. It is perfect to brighten up the room for summer. I'm very happy with it. I did buy another LLBean quilt a few years back and have been very pleased with it. I only with I had bought the shams for that one. I didn't make the same mistake with this one--I bought both shams with the quilt! I really think you need that to finish off the bed.
