Let me first say, I consider myself to be a frugal shopper. I would not normally spend this much money for a pair of winter boots. I have been looking for a practical winter boot that does not forego good fashion sense. Being familiar with the exceptional quality of Merrell footwear, I decided to chance the purchase. These boots are beautiful, comfortable, actually waterproof and provide good support. I would not recommend these boots however for anyone with extremely muscular, or thick calves. If you want to wear heavier socks for additional warmth, I would suggest ordering a half size larger.
As with most boots, they were a little rough for the first couple days, especially in the ankles - but once you break them in they're very comfortable so stick it out!
I've been wearing them at work. I stand for 8-9 hours a day and they keep my feet nice and cushioned. They're also extremely warm - it's been in the teens here and my feet have never went numb!
As far as looks go, they're really nice looking when they star to get creasing after a few days of wearing them.
I can only recommend these boots to anyone who would like a pair of nice looking boots, you can walk in all day, and keep you feet warm and dry. They wear like a pair of sneakers and you can wear them to work. I wear mine everyday and I will get another pair next year.
I purchased these boots because the advertisement stated they were "waterproof", I am so disappointed with them. I wore them and my feet got soaked and were cold! Not worth the money.
