I just moved to Seattle, the wet city, a month ago. I knew I had to get a pair of galoshes but they are not very stylish. These boots are a great alternative. They are extremely comfortable and although they are more on the casual side, they are stylish enough for work and everyday wear. I love their thin ankles, most boots are straight and are not made to fit the natural contour of a woman's legs, these do. Very warm and comfy.
I bought these boots because I am moving to Oregon and I wanted 1)boots that were waterproof and warm, 2) boots that were comfortable enough to walk long distances, and 3) boots that were stylish enough to wear with work outfits. I found them.
I was a bit surprised that the boots have a zipper because the decription says they are pull ons, so they are easier to put in than I expected, which is nice. I also have bigger calves and was worried about them fitting. However, there is a stretchy panel that not only allows the boots to fit around my calves but they are actually comfortable. The only problem is that the circumference difference between my calves and ankles causes the boots to gather a bit around my ankle, but I think this is more due to my leg shape than the boots themselves. I did find the boots run a little bit big. I am a size 8, but sometimes I need to get a 7 1/2. I bought an 8 and I wish I had bought the smaller size. I would say this just allows me to wear thicker socks, but the insulation is quite warm as is. Lastly, the boots are sleek and stylish, but there is something about them that keeps them from being dressy. I was hoping to be able to get away with wearing them with dressier pants and skirts, but they just don't look right. They do look great with jeans and casual skirts and slacks. Overall I would highly recommend these boots.
These boots fit great, feel great and look great! They are worth the money. It's better to have one good pair of boots that are dependable and last, rather then several inexpensive boots that don't perform.
These boots are well worth the investment. I can walk across campus in rain, snow or sleet - my feet stay warm and dry. I've worn them from 7:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. and never felt any pain or discomfort that comes from wearing most women's shoes and boots! And they look great!
