These boots look really nice, professional and are comfortable to walk in for long distances but my feet did sweat in them. Perhaps the waterproofing resulted in poor air circulation, which led to my feet sweating? If you intend on wearing them indoors and outdoors on the same day, this may happen to you as well. If the primary use is for outdoors, they do look very fashionable and sleek, for a warm boot.
I bought Merrell's boots last fall. I wore them everyday in the cold and pouring rain walking to and from my children's school and the local markets from November to May. These boots not only kept my feet dry, but also warm and comfortable. And they still look new for this coming season!
I bought these boots last winter and get regular compliments on them. They are the perfect pair of professional winter boots, as they look great with outfits if you don't want to switch shoes and are warm enough for most midwest winter days.
I bought these boots a couple of months ago because I needed a pair of low-heeled rain boots that would also double as winter boots--I adamantly hate high-heeled boots, as I can NOT walk in them, especially when it's icy! Unfortunately, when I got the boots, I couldn't zip them all the way up my (admittedly) thick calves; the last pair of boots I bought from L.L. Bean were pull-ups, and they fit my legs just fine--not so these rain boots! (I would've made do with the original pair of boots I'd bought from L.L. Bean, except that their heels are just a bit too high, and lately I started going to a place that has very steep steps--not ideal when you're trying to walk up and down them in a pair of boots that have too-high heels, especially in the wintertime.)
