These shoes are very comfortable and need very little breaking in. I have not yet worn them in slushy weather, but for normal hiking, they are very good.
I first ordered a 10.5 EE. Next I ordered the 11.0 EE. It was still too narrow. I ended up with the 11.5 EE which is wide enough and seems to fit ok with superfeet green inserts. My right foot is longer and wider than my left by a half size which causes a problem. So far I have taken only one short hike on a rugged trail. The shoes performed well. They are stiff and will require some time to break in and conform to my wierd feet.
