ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I really like the Gore-Tex Mountain Treads (low cut). I normally wear a medium (D) width, and this size (in these shoes) was too narrow (irritating my little toes). I exchanged them for a "wide" and am very happy with the way they fit. I use them in my daily walk which usually has a lot of short wet grass. The shoes are comfortable and have kept my feet completely dry. I will readily recommend them.
Throughout the years, I have ordered and worn a good number of shoes from LLBean. Most all of them have been fine shoes. However, this pair of Gore-Tex Mountain Treads looked the part and I think would have been good for heavy duty use, but in my case the shoes were too wide in the heal, although they fit fairly good in all other areas. I tried all thicknesses of socks and nothing would make up the difference. It may not be the case in all of these shoes, but my size 12 was was off size and I did return them.

This is a replacement pair for the same product I have worn out through years of use. From fall through spring I wear these as outdoor casual boots except when the snow is really deep or very fresh. They are comfortable, good grip on a variety of slippery and wet surfaces and look good. I don't dress up much so these become very workaday shoes that I can wear outside and then come into the office and they are OK as casual shoes without changing. They are very comfortable, even inside when it is warm (unlike some boots that are too hot to wear inside). They "breathe" so your feet don't sweat excessively even when it is hot weather or indoors for extended period.
