I bought my first pair two years ago, and they have been perfectly comfortable with full time wearing. I had never before owned shoes that would go all day every day without an occasional twinge that said my feet needed to try out something else for a while. When the inside backs started showing some wear, I bought a second pair just like the first.
Excellent solid construction, beefy feel and look, comfortable fit but soles are a bit stiff (purchased a few days ago). Shoes should get more flexable as they are worn. Gore-Tex construction should last for years.
Would recommend shoes to serious walkers/hikers in rougher environments.
