Shoes look great; however, unlike other hiking shoes I have bought from LL Bean they took awhile to break in. Had blisters on my heals and that could have been from not lacing up the top hole as it was too much trouble getting them on and off when laced all the way up. This is my 5th pair of hiking shoes from LL Bean and other than the above, I love 'em.
I have narrow feet. The shoe industry has apparently decided there aren't enough of us 'misfits' to bother with. We are supposed to buy wide shoes and wear two pair of socks. I purchased these shoes because they are available in narrow sizes. The fit is perfect, and consequently they are very comfortable. Nice arch support. Right out of the box I wore them all day. The lugs on the sole are spaced far enough apart that I track less sand and gravel into the house, which makes my wife happy. They seem to be well made, and I expect to be wearing them for a long time.
Comfortable fit with good support. Would be veven better if the top lacing positions were loops instead of holes to speed up getting into and out of the shoe.
