My husband needs extra support for his feet. He wears nothing but these boots. He has two pairs and alternates pairs. They last a year doing this but he wants lots of tread so for most people they would last longer. The black tread can mark the floor that is my only complaint.
How much do I like these boots? I own 5 pair, 3 low-cut and 2 high cut. There's a story here. A Bean catalog several years ago featured only the high cut boot. Fearing the low-cut version was going to be dropped I ordered several pair. Turns out I was mistaken, which is good.
I keep a pair of each style at two locations and use them mainly for yard and gardening work. A low-cut pair stays clean and neat for public consumption.
Only once have I had an problem with the boots. LLB sent a new pair free of charge.
My foot doctor recommended firm hiking shoes for dealing with Plantar Fasciitiis. I must say these huking shoes are amazing. Comfortable and immediately noticed less pain. They are rugged and fit like a glove. I'd recommend for anyone having foot pain as a result of fasciitis.
Best shoes I've ever put on my feet. Perfect fit; "like a glove". These were handcrafted in Italy. Short break-in time also. Other hiking shoes I've tried were made in china. Didn't last. I highly recommend these.
