"This is our third waterhog mat. We have had two other waterhog mats for several years, and they are very effective for catching dirt, sand, etc. that could get tracked into the house. These are great mats to use at the doors to any home to help protect your interior flooring. I highly recommend waterhog mats"

"We live in Florida where there is always a lot of sand and a good deal of rain part of the year. We have tried numerous rugs, which our 100-pound Lab-shepherd mix manages to snag. Pretty soon they are shabby looking messes.
None of the rugs lasted, until we bought the Waterhog Mat. Not only does it hold on to the sand and take the moisture off our shoes, but it is indestructible! Max hasn't been able to damage it at all. It is easy to vacuum up his hair too (carpet attachment on extra low works best).
I hope that this product will be continued to be manufactured with the same excellent standards! We already bought a second one, and will buy more when needed."

"You just can't go wrong with a waterhog. It's the perfect height that it doesn't interfere with our doors. We have one at each entryway, and this one we just ordered is quite large and is in front of the sink/dishwasher, where water was constantly splashing onto the hardwood floor. But not anymore! My only comment - the sizing isn't "exact". It's very close, but not exact."

"Like other waterhog mats I have ordered this is a excellent mat in terms of absorption, durable construction, and works well inside or out. This was the first perfect-size mat I ordered, with fewer color options than other styles. Online the tan color looked right, but the mat I received would be better described as brown with hints of red.
Although the color doesn't fit our entry well, the functionality trumps aesthetics this time. Maybe it will fade to tan?"

"Igot my water hog about a month ago. I bought it to go on our screened in porch(which is also the door everyone uses) It is amazing...Dogs,kids,husband,myself and even the cat...just about everything on paws,boots and shoes get left on the hog....great! I got the green, so you don't miss a thing with the vacumn or broom..Love it and the price is darn good. excellent quality...but then I would expect nothing less from bean....thanks again for a good product...and the dogs love lying on it....."

"We needed something that looked decent to protect our hardwood floors where we had the food and water dishes for our two dogs. I ordered the perfect size water hog and it was really perfect. Not only did it serve the purpose but also looked nice. I liked it so well, I ordered another to protect the floor in front of the door they use."

"All I can say it I got the 3X10 I've had it from my back door to my kitchen for almost 10 years. It is chocolate which you don't make any more, but the color has not faded, nor has the vinyl floor under it discolored. I think the way the mat is made, with little nubs keeps the rubber from causing that problem I love this mat and I am ordering another."

"I have been looking for something durable, and an appropriate size to fit my mudroom. I ordered the 3'X4' but when it arrived it actually measures 35"X45.5". This is frustrating because with a name like "perfect size" one would expect it to measure to its advertised dimensions."

Great Rug/Not-so-great Color,

"We have the leaf pattern waterhog rug in "khaki" and LOVE it! We needed 2 more rugs for high-traffic areas and decided on the "perfect-size" waterhog. While you can beat these rugs for keeping mud, gravel, and the like off the hardwood floors, the color "tan" is really more like a rusty-brown. I wish there was a true "tan" option to better fit w/ our decor. I'm practical, but like a little style in the home too!"

"I ordered a 3' x 4' mat. What arrived is a 35" x 45.5" mat. I ended up ordering a larger mat for the space I had intended for the 3x4. (Which is okay, but it costs more money!) I give it 5 Stars for quality, but 4 Stars for not having accurate dimensions."

"Bought one to protect hardwood floors from gravel, mud, water, etc. Does an excellent job "sweeping" debris from shoes and catching it. Cleans easily. Made well. Was so satisfied with purchase we just bought a second one for a high traffic area. Highly recommend."

"I bought this waterhog mat for our entryway to our enclosed porch and placed it next to the door by a bench. In the winter and any time it rains we can remove our boots/shoes and leave them under the bench to drain without worrying about damaging the floor. It's perfect! I like the evergreen color and it's definitely a "water hog". This mat works so well that I also bought the Waterhog Christmas Tree mat."

"I ordered the waterhog mat for my front door to protect hardwood flooring. In the 14 years at this home, I have gone thru 3 expensive carpets and wish that I had not wasted my money on those purchases. "I was really hoping that the tan version of this rug looked like a sisal. But I really didn't care for the color. It's a muddy brownish color and not what I would call tan.
It does seem like a very functional rug, however. I was hoping I could order it in a custom size for my entry way, but the color makes it look too much like a door mat, as opposed to a rug that would be complementary to my sisal rug in the adjacent living room."

"I bought one of these earlier last year for my foyer. I was worried the look would be too "industrial." The mat actually looks great in my foyer. I also purchased one for outside my slider which is wonderful. These mats really work as stated. They keep the pine needles and debris from coming in, my cat scratching it doesn't damage it and it looks great! You cannot go wrong with one of these mats."
