OK ... Could be better
PostedMay 14, 2009
I bought this in Oct 08 to go with my rolling bag and carry on (which looks to have been discontinued). The bag is sturdy and well made. A downside: the bag is a bit heavy. You can put a lot in the bag; my MacBook 13 (with sleeve) fits very nicely. No problems with cushioning, and papers/notebooks do well.
There are several downsides to the bag. First, as with the other products in this line, the clasps (in this case, covering one of the outer pockets) release much too easily. Could expose whatever you have in the pocket to loss. The clasps on this product really needs a re-design or heavier springs. The other outer pocket does not have a way to securely close (velcro would be nice); this means you have no really secure outer pockets. The inner sleeve with pockets for accessories (cell, passport) could be better as well; needs a couple more places to put things. Lastly, there is no way to really secure this to your rolling baggage.
Overall not a bad casual briefcase; you should visit a store to take a look-see to make sure it fits your needs.

I have this bag in black... I love this bag. Only "complaint" is that the shoulder strap is not leather... just a cheap strap..weird...bit the bag is great!

First Impressions
PostedFebruary 7, 2009
When I saw this bag in the store, I was very impressed with how it looked. My one hesitation was whether it would hold my new Mac Book Pro 15". Online research didn't help, so I returned to the store the following week with my laptop and it fit perfectly, even with using a sleeve. My only minor compliant that bumped my rating to a 4 is that it could use a more internal zippered organization pockets like my old Sportsman's deluxe laptop bag that is no longer available.

I was extremely disappointed with this briefcase. It is too heavy to begin with, and when essential business items, laptop, files etc. are placed inside it really becomes cumbersome. There is no way to slip it over an extended handle of a wheeled carry on bag, hence it has to be carrried. The shoulder strap slips after adjustment and is uncomfortable. The clips do not hold on the outside flap.
This bag is not at all practical for air business travel, and given its price it should be.
