This is an extremely well-made item. The leather is beautiful and elicits compliments in airports. It easily holds my laptop, a jacket, and other travel-related items. The only negatives are the metal closers will come loose unexpectedly and the straps could have more padding.
I wanted a great-looking travel bag and this definitely fits that description. It is made of very sturdy leather and looks like it will last forever. Sadly, it is too heavy and bulky for me to carry easily. I don't think of myself as especially small (5'10", women's size medium clothes) but I found that the shoulder straps are placed too wide apart to use comfortably. There is also no way to keep a bottle of water or an umbrella separate from the rest of your belongings. It would make a great commuting bag but I can't see trying to carry it all day.
I've been reading reviews and looking for a backpack for several months. I narrowed down my choices to two: a full leather rucksack versus leather and cotton canvas. I decided to go with the Main Guide Leather Rucksack and couldn't be happier. It is everything that I wanted and more. During my everyday use of the backpack I have not experienced any of the issues listed in this review. The backpack is alittle pricey but well worth the extra money. It is very soft and comfortable to throw over your shoulder and go. The small pockets on the front have the security of a zipper and a flap that snaps securely. The leather draw cords on the main compartment is another great safety feature to keep items from falling out. My review gets the highest rating possible. I carried my rucksack on a week long trip and I can't tell you how many people stopped and asked me about this backpack! If you have any reservations I hope this review will help with your decision
