"I am so pleased to be a current and past consumer of LL Bean's Waterhog mats. They are rigid enough not to curl at the edges, really protect the surface you might have underneath, take the dirt and moisture off your shoes. are easy to clean, and stay in place better than ever. LL Bean has continued to improve these over the years and we are delighted with the quality. Wish they had more colors!"

"I purchased my Waterhog Mat for the garage at the entrance door to my kitchen. Not only does it look great this week it survived the durability test with snow. It is easy to sweep off and the snow doesn't sink thru to the other side. I like ths Mat so much that everytime I look at it I think I need to buy a larger size and move this one to my screened-in porch."

"I live in the country and have 3 dogs and 2 cats in and out all day long. They bring in tons of sand and my house simply fills up with it. The Waterhog mat catches most of it. It works better than everything else I've tried."

"This rug was recommended to me by a stranger while I was desperately searching for a rug that would absorb constant snow brought in by my 3 kids and their friends. Now their boots, shoes, and snowboards have a place to rest without leaving a giant wet mess in my entry!! Also works great for catching pet hair!! My german shepard/lab lays on it and I don't have to sweep as often! It acts as velcro. I just vacuum the rug. I have had my rug for 1 year and came back to order more. I tell all my friends- now you too! This rug can make your life easier too!"

"I bought this mat for use in a front entrance vestibule of a 105 y/o house. The house flooring is original oak parquet, and I wanted to put down something that would protect the floor in this high traffic area against water, soil, snow, and salt that are unavoidably tracked in on one's shoes. Originally the area was covered with an oriental rug, but the rug's height constantly caught the bottom of the entrance door which not only made it difficult to enter the house, but it also slid the oriental rug out of its protective position on the floor. Further, the oriental rug obviously was at risk of damage from water, salt, etc., and is porous.
The LLBean waterhog mat is the absolutely perfect solution, and is not only totally impervious to foot traffic & soil but water as well. An added bonus, it is not as thick as the oriental rug and therefore the door opens and closes smoothly without getting caught on the mat. The waterhog mat is well made and sturdy, easily cleaned with either a vacuum or hose.
Bravo LLBean! This product has my highest recommendation. I'm thrilled with its appearance and performance, and the availability of so many sizes and lengths is extremely important and valuable."

"I bought one of these for my entry way and ended up buying two more for the garage entry and hallway. We live in Upstate NY and snow and cinders are always being tracked in. These mats are great for soaking up the snow and protecting the hardwood floors we have in the entryway."

"I have this rug inside my back door. My dogs come in from the outside wet and dirty. They sit on this rug and have their paws cleaned off. This rug collects all the dirt and debris so it doesn't get all over the house. It also vacuums and cleans really easily."

"I searched everywhere for a large mat that would fill our entry with room to enter and shut the door behind you. We don't wear shoes in the house at all so I like a large defined space for taking off shoes. Living in Maine we have sand in the summer and snow and dirt in the winter so I really needed something that would keep the outdoors from coming in to our wood floors. LL Bean had the perfect size in a mat that seemed tough enough to fit our needs. We've had this for a while now and I am really impressed at how it keeps dirt and water contained but is easy to clean. Now I just wish it came in black or gray to match my kitchen entry!"

"I bought several Waterhog rugs for the inside of our house, front door, back door, inside our sliding glass door, and in the space between our sink and stove. They really pick up the dirt and crumbs, keeping the rest of the house cleaner.
They can be bought in almost any configuration of sizes so I was able to order them to fit each spot perfectly. Clean up is a breeze, vacuuming or hosing down.
The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is that I would have preferred the new leaf pattern with its wider choice of colors, but the leaf pattern doesn't come in the variety of sizes I needed."

Great Dog Water Bowl Mat!,

"I have a tall dog that needs to have his water elevated and doesn't just lap his water, he chomps it. Due to the height of his water bowl and his drinking style water splashes over a wide area of the floor with every drink making the area messy and slick. I've tried using towels and other type of rugs to try and help deal with the excess water but they didn't contain the wider splashes, stayed damp all the time and smelled musty very quickly. The waterhog mat (4' square) has easily contained the splashes, dries out quickly, doesn't smell musty and really looks nice in the room. Would recommend this as a great pet water/food station mat."

"I bought two of these-one for the front door and one for under our porch swing. They stayed out all winter and both were in perfect condition this spring. They clean easily and keep the outside mess from entering the house. Other mats stayed too wet from rain or held dirt so that it tracked inside, unlike these. I think I'll order another for my back door this year."

"I purchased this for my business. I own a gift shop and get alot of foot traffic. The mat I had was not absorbing the snow and water. I have hardwood floors and they were a mess everyday. This mat is wonderful and looks much better than the standard "store mat". It really is a water and snow hog. I also like that I was able to get the length I wanted."
