This Waterhog catches tracked in snow for the long winters in the Northwoods of WI and my hope is that it will do the same for the sand and pine straw in the summer.
It is very well made - similar to the industrial type of mats found in entryways of public buildings - however, it is more attractive, appropriate for a home.
My Waterhog arrived shortly before I hosted a party . With much snow on the ground , I was thrilled to have the new floor protection right where folks stepped in . Many made very favorable comments regarding its rich evergreen color & good size ,inquiring where it was purchased , saying it was exactly what they needed . I wouldn't be surprised if you were to see an increase in orders from this "neck of the woods " , where we get a decent amount of snow and slush Thank you, LLBean for doing things so well.!
We have had several small ones at our back door for a couple of years. They catch all that we bring in on our feet. The grandkids were the reasons I bought the 5'x6' mat. It fits all their boots and shoes - no more rain or melted snow puddles on the floor I find the mats easy to clean, even dog hair vacuums up easily. The colors have not faded.
Excellent quality, sturdy, great grip (does not slide - vinyl floors), retain all dirt/mud/leaves from getting into our home. We have it in our mud room entrance and we are very happy with it.
