We love the waterhog! It does a great job holding dirt and water, and keeps our floor dry. Looks good, too. We got a 5' x 6', and it's clear that there was some grafting that went on in the construction process; there's a 1 ft wide segment that looks like it's attached on. But it's not noticeable unless you're looking too carefully, and you can't beat the price for an almost custom-sized mat. We'd buy another if we had another space for one.
I was so excited to receive my mat on Christmas Eve as we were having about 30 people over that night. It fits perfectly in the space I ordered it for and it really holds the wet and grime in the rug and does not let it get tracked all over the floor. The color was just what I expected, the backing on the rug keeps it in its place, no sliding around.
Just received this "perfect size" waterhog mat today. I've already called and arranged to send it back. It is not a perfect size at all. It is off by 2 1/4 inches on one side. The color is nothing like the tan online, but much darker, closer to brown. And there is a noticeable seam down the length of the mat, where obviously the manufacturer added onto a generic sized mat. I have ordered many waterhog mats in the past, and this is the first time I have been disappointed. I will not order this custom mat again, but stick with the leaf patterned mats I have ordered in the past.
