We ordered this to control muddy, wet footprints on our painted porch. We were so pleased with the color and style and different sizes offered. We got the gray in 6 x 14 size. Looks great!
So, I've heard good things about this line of rugs. Some have said they are the best rugs ever created. I spent 175$ in order to test the hypothesis and the results are in. Witchcraft.
My dog, she is a dire-sheltie, goes into the back yard to do many things. When she returns with her white feet covered in muck and gore....don't ask...she promptly strides across the waterhog, and by the time she reaches the other side?....clean feet. After a number of experiments all we could conclude is that it must be witchcraft.
Bought 2 small waterhog mats, one to put inside the door leading from our garage to our mudroom and the other to put inside the door leading from outside the house into the mud room. Bought a 5 x 7 matching waterhog mat to use as an area rug in our mudroom so people have plenty of space to take off boots, etc. The mats look wonderful, are a great color (camel) match for our tile, and really have a nice indoor look. The quality is great. Surprisingly, our kids find the mats so comfortable to sit on that they've taken over the mudroom as their new play space and the 5 x 7 has become their play mat. Last night, one of them sat on a ball of bright green play dough while they were playing. The play dough was ground into the large mat. We let the play dough dry on the mat overnight and it brushed off this morning, without any stain. This should be a good indicator of how well the mats will handle mud season. I bought this rug to go in our laundry/mud room. It fits perfects and the color is as expected. This room is off the garage and its how most people enter the house. I already notice less dirt throughout the rest of the house. Not only is the carpet a water hog, it's a dirt hog. Perfect!
