While I very much enjoy my first pair of Katahdin khakis, the second (and most recent) pair had size and fabric inconsistencies relative to the first pair. Specifically, they are larger and softer. I purchased the second pair based on my appreciation of the first purchase, but will unlikely wear the second pair as they do not fit and hang as well as the first.
I believe either this item sizes smaller than what is indicated or because they are 100% cotton you can expect some shrinkage. Recommend sizing up... Also the light color seems to pick up dirt, smudges, stains from almost everywhere. Not very impressed, frankly...
I own two pairs of these and I've been very satisfied with them so far. The heavy duty canvas makes for a tough pair of pants for working, but also make good weekend casual wear too. They start off a little on the stiff side, but they do soften up over time. The cut is roomy enough to be comfortable while working but not so baggy that the look sloppy.
