Rise is on the longer side. Roomy fit through the leg without being baggy. The fabric is a medium weight with a soft canvasy feel. Mine are one of the darker colors and has some faded patches after the first wash giving them a slightly rustic look.
I just ordered these pants and like them. Pants were true to fit for me...I am 6'2" and 220 pounds and they fit in all the right places. They are not your normal khaki pants...material is a little rougher kind of material like lightweight carhartt material. It works though and I like it. Definitely would recommend and I am on the site right now ordering another pair.
Last year I bought a few pairs of Allagash Pants. They were SKU 0DUW4 and I loved them, specifically because the fabric is a very thick and stiff canvas. I like rough (as opposed to fine or silky) fabrics and in addition to the great fit these pants were texturally perfect for me.
Time moves on. I came back and bought more. The pants that came are actually SKU 0JKT8. They have the same cut and construction, but the fabric is lighter and less stiff. Good pants, and I wear them happily, but not as happily as the original 0DUW4 ones; I just liked the stiffer/thicker fabric of the originals and was a little disappointed that the fabric had changed.
I also am not really sure how, when I search by the SKU #, how I end up getting the same order page for both SKU #'s when to me these are two very different, if nominally similiar, products. I understand that to most people the differences would be minimal and not material ;-), but I am not a representative sample of any particular target market, and it seemed to me the differences in fabric should have been called out in some way.
So overall I like the product. What would make me most happy would be a return to the original fabric that these were made from.
I like the pants...tough, durable, good style, gusseted crotch. They seem just a tad tight in comparison to those I tried on in the LLBean store in Freeport last month. Something is amiss there. I'll keep them because my waist line is fluctuating a bit and see how they go.
