"Ordered the men's jacket since the women's one was sold out in the color I wanted. I chose the unlined version. Great jacket, keeps you totally dry even in the pouring rain. The zipper can be annoying. You just have to line it up carefully. The Canoe Green color is very nice."

Good jacket / Bad zipper,

"I've been a satisfied Bean's customer for many years. This would have been a great jacket but for the zipper. I've never had so much trouble with a zipper before! A previous coat I returned also had a bad zipper. I would gladly have paid a few extra bucks for a good zipper. This is precisely what I do NOT expect from LL Bean's!"

"My husband wanted a jacket for walking the dog on rainy days. I bought this on sale and my husband still thought it was too much $ to spend for what he needed. I suggested he keep it and give it a try. He now uses it whenever it rains (which is regularly). He loves this coat and said he's glad he kept it. It's just what he needed and he prefers it to using an umbrella. He likes the weight and that it's truly waterproof. For him, this is a great jacket!"

"My husband likes this jacket very much. I finally got the size correct and he is wearing it daily. He is especially happy with the insulation as he is a fly fisherman. It is a great slip on for early morning walks with dogs."

"I have always regarded LL Bean clothing as being the best. I bought this rain jacket and have to say that it is the superior quality clothing that LL Bean is known for. I wear it during my outdoor walks in the wind and rain. If you need a very light rain jacket that is comfortable, and made of superior quality material, this is it."

"This jacket is all L.L. Bean says it is and more. If you want a rain jacket that is guaranteed 100% water-proof and comfortable, this is it. I was reluctant to purchase this jacket, but I'm sure glad I did. It is worth every penny. It certainly has endured the torrential rains we have been having here in Georgia. "I purchased this jacket over a year ago and have used it to walk to work for the last year. I never had it leak even in heavy rain with strong gusts. I recently took it with me to a conference and it got lost on the journey. Based on my past experience, there was no hesitation in ordering another identical replacement. "Great jacket! Keeps you dry in all kinds of weather without feeling like you are in a sauna. Well worth the money since I got it on sale and will probably be the last one I'll need. Very comfortable and the fit is right on. For those who are having trouble with using the "Stowaway" feature, try this. Lay the jacket down with the inside facing up. Open up the inside pocket zipper which has a "Stowaway" tag on it. Now, start pushing the jacket up through the bottom of the pocket (not through the the top down as you normally would when using a pocket). Keep pushing the jacket in and when it completely within the pocket you will find that a bag has been created with a zipper closure."

"Had an old LLB rain jacket and replaced it with this. Expensive but perfect. Bought it for walking the dog and is great for the summer meaning its cool and breaths so you don't perspire even in the hotest temps. Pockets are fine as is the zipper, and water simply runs off it and not me. As I say its perfect and probably my last rain jacket."
