Very well-made pants -- excellent durability and good touches, such as adjustable cuffs (cord-lock), zippers to allow pants to be put on or removed while wearing shoes, an in-pocket key tether, and a small zipped pocket within one of the side pockets.
One big note: These pants _really_ could use side cargo pockets (above the zips). A backpack or lumbar pack belt will cover the tops of the pockets, making access difficult (and I have small hands). This goes for both the hip and back pockets.
That note aside, these pants feel very durable and breathe well. Definitely recommended.
This is my second pair, and I love them!! They are the consumate hiking pants. They are robust, warm, loose-fitting to allow movement and layering, with great back pockets and a good length inseam when zipped off. Great price, too.
I bought these pants last spring(09')and they immediatly became my favorite pants. I used them hiking in the Adirondacks. They saved room and weight as you only need one garment that does two jobs (pants and shorts). They fit very well and were as confortable as a pair of sweat pants. They were cut roomy in the knees and crotch seam, so, they don't bind when climbing steep hills or over rocks and other obstacles. The leggs zipped on and off easy. The material and zippers were of great quality and have held up wonderfully.Oh, they also look good and can be worn out and around town.
