These are some great pants. There light but built with a strong durable nylon that dries very fast. I like the big and abundant pocket selection they have; you can carry a lot of gear with you when not wearing your pack. One draw back for me is they are a bit short but I’m 6’9”. It was either get the XXL tall with the waist way to big, or go with the XL tall and have the legs a tad short, I went with the XLT. At least they stay out of the way when backpacking and don’t drag over my heels or anything. Besides, it not like it's a fashion show in the backcountry anyway, just as long as you’re comfortable. Overall they do the job as good high quality hiking pants and I would recommend them to any avid outdoors person.
The pants are great but not if you are over 6 feet tall and in shape. The tall sizes are only applicable for Large and XL sizes. I am 6' 3" tall; run marathons, and as such have a 32 inch waist with a 34 inch inseam. Medium size pants looked like capris on me or would be great in a major flood. Please consider tall sizing for medium waists.
I've been looking for a pair of zip off backpacking pants since i wore out an old pair of mountain hardwear convertibles. I tried the new MH pants and they are sub par. These are great pants. I would the liner to be more than just at the waist line but other than that these are great!
An absolute must buy. Probably the most comfortable pants I have ever purchased! They are lightweight and roomy, but not baggy. I haven't been hiking in the pants (nor zip off shorts), but have worn them around the house and around town with no complaints. I'm ready to buy another pair.
