These are excellent pants with the exception of the sizing.I purchased a pair of Medium size and the waist is fine (I'm a 33). The length is appropriate for someone 6'2 or 3. I'm 5'9 and they are absurdly long-with no option for a shorter length.
Purchased several pairs 4 years ago which were size specific. Now these pants are listed as S, M, L. therefore, no longer fit as good as the earlier version. Otherwise, pretty well made pant.
As usual, LL Bean has come through with quality goods at a reasonable price. The medium waist pants are well made, length is fine (I'm 6'). However, I'm a 33 waist and although the waist on these pants are 32-34", I'd have to say they were a little tighter than expected, but still wearable.
