I'm 6'5 and 180 lb. Ordered Medium Tall. I felt that was like a XXL. It was comically wide and long. It's a shame to. This thing looked super warm, heavy, and comfortable.
You can't go wrong with this sweatshirt. Living in NW PA, it's perfect when worn with a flannel shirt (LL Bean). I have two and bought one for my son who lives in Washington State. He has told me several times, this is his go to sweat shirt. Excellent quality, nice fit, and very comfortable. A winner!
My aunt gave me this sweatshirt five or six years ago. I live in northern California so it is ideal for most of our winter weather. I always keep this sweatshirt handy - in the car, by the front door, where ever it is going to be close at hand. It is plenty warm and the fit is flexible enough that I can put a sweater or another sweatshirt on under it on really cold, windy days. The only complaint that I have is that the zipper doesn't go up high enough for me. However, the sweatshirt wears like iron, takes a beating, and still looks fresh after years of hard use. I definitely recommend this sweatshirt as one that will wear well, keep you warm, and still look new.
Ordered the deep balsam/dark khaki last week and received it as per the expected delivery time. My husband is partial to hoodies and wanted to buy a really good one. I've seen this sweatshirt for a long time now and have read the favorable reviews, so I confidently suggested that we order this for him. Its really pricey, especially for us Canadians but I trusted LLBean products from items we've ordered from the past. The only apprehension we had was sizing. The associate I've chatted with determined that Medium is my husband's size based on the chest size and shoulder/arm length.Only caveat is his midsection, which is wider than his chest.So the associate suggested going a size up. My husband decided to stick with the Med as he felt that Large might be too long for him in terms of sleeve length, reasoning that if he's wrong, he can easily return the merchandise. Thankfully, it fit him well. Not too snug or tight in the midsection but just right. At least this will give him the motivation to try and shave off a few pounds.:-) He was so happy with his order that if this item should be on sale in the future, he wants to buy one again in a different color. I wish they offer this hoodie for women, too!
