ProsDurable, Comfortable, utilitarian, worth the premium price
I wear hooded sweatshirts. I like them. They are ubiquitous here in San Diego, especially near the beach.
This Sweatshirt has an assuring heavyweight feel. It's cozy. It absolutely looks like I should be framing a house or working in a steel mill but I don't mind that because it's warm, comfortable and well made.
I'm 6'2"/182 lbs and the large is generously sized and would fit over a few layers, I could wear a medium but the sleeves would likely be too short. Speaking of sleeves, they have a nice silk/poly? lining, different than the fleece I expected. It's a better choice. Great for movement.
I wear this almost daily to walk my dogs at the beach and would buy one again. Make more colors, please.
My wife bought one of these for me before. My adult daughter tried it on, left my home with it on and I never saw it again. She loved it just as much. So my wife bought me another and this time it is not leaving my body!! It is warm and practical and very roomy. I think I will order another color.
The Iron Works fleece-lined, zip-up hoodie provides cozy, warm comfort at a great price. It has 2 velcro-tabbed inner pockets to secure items. This sweatshirt is perfect for the Wisconsin fall and early winter weather. I bought 1 for myself, and 1 for each of my 2 college-age sons. We all love them, way to go L.L. Bean!
I have purchased many sweatshirts over the years from various manufacturers but this is the best. I've purchased two thus far and will likely purchase another. I purchased the Medium/Tall and it is definitely a bit snug around the chest (40" chest), but I actually like it that way.
