ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, great extra layer
This is the 3rd purchase ...we have navy, the brown/orange color and now the sage. This is a favorite in this home. Warm . quality, takes a beating and still looks great.

ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable
Very warm and extremely comfortable.
The best feature is the smooth sleeve lining. The sleeves of the shirt your are wearing underneath just slide right on through! No more holding the cuff to put your arm through the sweatshirt. Also, nice to take a nap in!
Very good job designing this piece.

ProsComfortable
This is a comfortable, slightly over-priced sweatshirt. Calling it "heavyweight" is a little disingenuous. Good for cool summer nights.

Nice Sweatshirt
PostedApril 29, 2011
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable
Nice sweatshirt, warm enough to wear as outer layer when active on all but the very coldest winter days here in Conn. The same lining that helps make this so warm also makes it a quite heavy sweatshirt, so on less cold days I usually go with something more lighteight, but a great alternative to a heavy winter jacket.
The lining is warm and comfortable and helps the sweatshirt stay in place better when I'm hiking with it unzipped, where ordinary full-zip sweatshirts tend to keep slipping back from my shoulders. The nice fabric lining of the sleeves also make it much easier to slip on and off over another long-sleeved shirt.
I wish the hood came just a bit farther forward. I was wearing this one day hiking in light snow with no wind and the very front of my hair got pretty wet. This short hood is pretty standard in hooded sweatshirts, so I don't take off many points for this. Likewise, it would be nice if it had more useful pockets rather than the standard two slash pockets. Zippers for these pockets, so you could safely stash your gloves in them, would be nice. Again, I concede that these open slash pockets are also standard for hooded sweatshirts.
